What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
All participants must read and agree to the following conditions before completing their BackerKit survey or purchasing any items. By placing an order or otherwise engaging with this project, you accept these rules without exception.
Acceptance and Binding Agreement
By submitting your pledge, selecting rewards, or purchasing any add-ons, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these conditions. No contrary terms proposed by you—whether verbal, by email, or by any other means—will be recognized.
Survey Lockdown Date
All surveys, including modifications to chosen rewards, add-ons, shipping addresses, or payment details, will irrevocably close on August 31, 2025 at 23:59 CET. After that time, no changes of any kind are permitted. Any requests submitted after the deadline will be denied without further notice.
Add-On Removal
Requests to remove or alter add-ons purchased in the BackerKit pledge manager will be honored only if submitted before the survey lockdown date. Add-ons acquired on the original crowdfunding platform cannot be changed via BackerKit. Any dispute regarding those must be handled through the crowdfunding site’s own procedures.
Refund Requests
Refunds for add-ons may be requested only within 48 hours of package delivery. No refund will be granted under any circumstances beyond that window.
To initiate a claim for a damaged, defective, or missing add-on, contact us immediately with photographic evidence and proof of purchase. All such claims must arrive within 48 hours of delivery.
If a refund is approved, it will be processed at our discretion and may be partial depending on item condition or the timing of the request. All decisions are final; no further appeals will be entertained.
Shipping Responsibilities
You must provide a complete, valid shipping address before the survey deadline. Once surveys close, any package returned as undeliverable, held by customs, or otherwise undelivered for reasons beyond our control becomes your responsibility. You will be charged for any additional shipping or handling fees required to reattempt delivery.
We will ship according to the address you provide. We assume no liability for errors, omissions, or subsequent changes you fail to communicate before the survey deadline.
Production and Fulfillment Timeline
Estimated shipping is October 2025. This date is an estimate and may change due to printing delays, supplier issues, customs procedures, or other unforeseen events.
If an unexpected delay exceeds thirty days beyond the estimated date, we will notify all backers promptly via the email address on file and provide an updated timeline within ten business days of recognizing the delay.
Loss or Damage in Transit
Once a package leaves our fulfillment center, risk of loss or damage shifts to the shipping carrier. If your package arrives damaged, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. After that, no claims for damage or loss will be considered.
If a package is lost in transit, we will work with you to file a claim with the carrier. Any replacement shipping or related fees will be at our discretion and may incur additional charges.
Finality of Decisions
All decisions regarding refunds, returns, or dispute resolutions are final and shall not be subject to further appeal.
Intellectual Property
All creative works—artwork, designs, text, and related materials—remain the exclusive property of the project creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial or non-commercial purposes without express written permission. Unauthorized use will result in immediate legal action.
Privacy and Data Use
Personal data collected through BackerKit (name, email, shipping address, payment details) will be used solely for project administration, production, and fulfillment. We comply with all applicable data protection regulations. Your information will not be shared with third parties beyond what is strictly necessary for manufacturing or shipping.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances will the project creators or their agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation. Our maximum liability to any backer for any claim related to this project will not exceed the amount actually paid by that backer for the specific item in question.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these conditions will be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of Rome, to the exclusion of any other jurisdiction.
If you do not agree to any of the above, you must not submit a pledge, purchase any add-ons, or complete the BackerKit survey. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in denial of service, forfeiture of orders, and immediate termination of any entitlements.
